 I use specific combinations of straight lines with different colours or simply shades of one colour to induce a vague illusion of movement and to subvert notions of perspective, thus inviting the viewer to question their reading of the work.

Until recently wood had been my favoured support. The grain, texture and colour of the wood lend themselves particularly well to my use of acrylics, establishing a dialogue with the paint and the wall it is displayed on. I am now venturing into producing series of two, one of which is on canvas such as still below the counterpart on wood like Breaking out.

For some works the painting process is a lengthy one, taking weeks and sometimes months to progress.
